Ann Curry
Ann Curry was born in America and is an American photographer and journalist. Since more than 45 years, she has concentrated on documenting human suffering, primarily when natural catastrophes or war are occurring. Curry was born in Japan and brought up by her Japanese mom. Her father was a U.S. Navy sailor. Her mother was living with their father during Japan following World War II. Because of her father's military duty, the family travelled frequently. Curry was a student at the High School in Ashland Oregon. The University of Oregon awarded her the degree of bachelor of arts in journalism. Curry moved around a lot together with her husband, and did not attend an institution for more than two full years. She attended schools located in San Diego Alameda Oregon Virginia. Ashland was her final high school. Her first job could lead to a successful career by working as a broadcasting intern for KTVL Channel 10 Medford. She was the first female news anchor at this station at the age of 22. Later, she became anchor and reporter at KGW located in Portland Oregon. Four years later she moved back to Los Angeles as a reporter for KCBS-TV. The two Emmy Awards were won during the six years she worked for TV station KCBS.
