Monsalve was famous for her role for her role as lead singer of the girl band Chikas and in the popular bands Tartara in Venezuela and Latin Fiesta in London, England. For more than 10 years, she was the host of Alo RCTV on Caracas' TV. In 2002, she relocated back to the United States, where she took part in numerous commercials and stage productions such as Esther at The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. Soon, she became known as the Hispanic ambassador in the name of Rooms to Go, a furniture company. Monsalve was appointed the Sports Anchor for Telemundo's local channel in Orlando at 6:00 PM in 2005. Monsalve joined ESPN in 2007 as the Sports Anchor of ESPN Deportes, broadcasting to Sports Center Hispanic audiences across North America and through ESPN 2 Central & South America. In November of 2014, she made public her decision to leave ESPN before announcing the fact that Univision Deportes was rebranded TUDN.
